Washakie Museum and Cultural Center
The Washakie Museum and Cultural Center houses many fascinating exhibits illustrating the relationship between the historical people fo the areas and their environment. The Big Horn Basin’s unique geography and world class archaeological sites help make the Museum one of the finest interpretive centers for local human history, from ancient mammoth hunters through Wyoming’s early settlers.
Geology, archaeology, and the paleontology of Washakie County are also featured prominently.
The Museum hosts visual and performing arts, conferences, conventions and other community gatherings.
