TEN SLEEP FISH HATCHERY

Holding fish reared at the Ten Sleep Fish Hatchery
Built in 1939, the Ten Sleep Fish Hatchery is operated by the Wyoming Game and Fish Department. Nestled in beautiful TenSleep Canyon, the hatchery is one of Wyoming’s smallest facilities but still produces over two million fish annually. Rainbow, Cutthroat, Brook and Splake trout are all raised on the premises.

Grounds of the Ten Sleep Fish Hatchery
Part of the reason for it’s scenic location is the water. Three natural springs feed the hatchery over 3 millions gallons of water daily and the combined 54 degree temperature is optimal for raising trout.
The Ten Sleep Fish Hatchery is located 8 miles east of Ten Sleep. In addition to its fish rearing facilities, the hatchery offers kids the chance to feed trout.
