Join us for a month long celebration of Native American Culture as we celebrate Indigenous Poeples Month from Septeber 1 through October 20, 2023.
The celebration is a fun, family-friendly way to experience current examples of Native American culture and learn more about the many Native communities who call Wyoming home.
The event begins on September 1st from 6-8 with a FREE opening of Grounded, an exhibition touring internationally featuring 15 premier and emerging contemporary artists from Indigenous American tribes traditionally based in and around the Great Plains, focusing on the need for “a sacred harmony” between ourselves and the earth, and with all of life upon it.
This special opening program features special speakers, including curator and celebrated Northern Arapaho artist Robert Martinez.
For more information on the event, schedule, speakers or other questions, call the Washakie Museum at (307) 347-4102. We hope to see you there!
